Information:
James and Charles discuss
the holiday period. James postponed his Maui
trip to deal with some family issues. James
will be heading to
Affiliate Summit in Las
Vegas
on the 20th of January the event itself is on
the 21st, 22nd and 23rd. James will be going
down to attend the event this year instead of
presenting as he has in years past. James anticipates
that there will be quite a bit of discussion
about paid search results. James frequently
runs into students at the Affiliate Summit at
Ballys. James and Charles discuss a site critique
that was done on one of the online student’s
sites. One of the issues surround the site was
the choice of keywords and the difference between
general and focused keywords. The primary keyword
on the page was extremely vague. The need to
have focused keyword content is very important
to the success of the page. If you are not focused
with your keywords you cannot be focused with
your merchants. James and Charles talk about
Google AdSense versus affiliate advertising
in terms of generating income. Increasing the
quality of the content helps to deliver converting
sales. The merchants landing page and the importance
of the ease of the order process for the client.
James and Charles talk about Coffee Talk™ and
what the motivation was for the creation of
the new feature which is part of the Buzz subscription.
James talks briefly about the most recent Coffee
Talk™ with
Kellie Fowler. The next Coffee Talk™
will be with Bronwyn Bamber (see below) – a full interview.
Other interviews available are
Ros Philips,
Brian Littleton,
Matt Frary and
Linda Woods.
