Information:
James is back from Florida
where he had been attending
Affiliate Summit
at the Walt Disney World Hilton. James’
guest today is Bronwyn Bamber who was originally
met at an Affiliate Summit cruise. James has
noticed that people are starting to bring their
families to the affiliate events. While the
affiliate attends the sessions the family goes
off and does the vacation thing. James’
next trip is CJU in September – tickets
for
CJU
are on sale now There were 1100 attendees
at Affiliate Summit. James showed up early and
spent some time at MGM Studios and Epcot. Bronwyn
bought the Affiliate Marketer’s Handbook
and started building sites about two years ago.
Bronwyn committed full scale to building an
affiliate business. Bronwyn talks about some
of the problems she encountered when she started
and some of the success she has experienced.
She talks about the freedom she has experienced
as a result of her affiliate success. Bronwyn
talks about her plans to semi-retire as a result
of the success of her 17 sites. James, Charles
and Bronwyn talk about the lack of technical
skill required to do the work required. Bronwyn
started by sharing the writing duties with some
friends and family but recently has been doing
all the writing for herself. Bronwyn talks about
the importance or rereading the handbook because
you will find things that you didn’t know
were there the first or second time around.
One of the biggest benefits in Bronwyn’s
mind for going to events is the ability to network
with people. James talks about some friends
who have made a success of affiliate marketing
as well. James would like to hear from affiliate
marketers who are earning between 500 and 1000
a month who might be interested in being interviewed
on Affiliate Buzz. Please contact Arlene at
Arlene.martell@gmail.com . James talks about
a company called
ValueMags
and how you could potentially generate more
revenue by selling magazine subscriptions to
your existing traffic.
Check
the National Geographic Affiliate Program.
James also suggests having a look at
Ebags
as another potential affiliate program. James
and Charles talk about what they are going to
talk about next show.
